What this site does and does not do.
This site does not collect your information
This site is a set of static pages and downloadable PDF documents. It has no forms of its own, logins, portals, or databases. Videos open on YouTube, which has its own privacy practices.
Like any web server, the hosting provider records basic technical information about page requests. It is not linked to patient records and is not used to identify you.
Visitor statistics
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read, so the information can be improved. It records technical details such as browser type, general geographic region, and the pages visited. It does not record your name or anything you type, and nothing it collects is linked to any patient record. Google’s handling of this data is described in Google’s privacy policy. If you prefer not to be counted, a browser setting or extension that blocks analytics scripts will do so without affecting the site.
The “Share your story” form
The only form this site links to is the patient story form, which is hosted by Google Forms and is subject to Google’s privacy practices. Submitting it is voluntary. Stories are published only after Dr. Olsen reviews them, with a first name and last initial, and only with the permission you give on the form.
Your medical records
Your health information is protected by HIPAA and handled under the privacy practices of TRIA Orthopedics and HealthPartners, not by this website. Please do not send medical information by email. Call the office at 952-831-8742 or use HealthPartners MyChart (opens in a new tab).
